Additional Course Information Auditors are certified by AMHSA to conduct health and safety program audits within the municipal sector. In order to maintain the high calibre of auditing that exists within this sector, auditors must maintain their skills by conducting annual audits and refresh their knowledge by attending a one-day recertification course every 3 years. All auditors whose certification expires in 2008 must attend one of these recertification courses this year. The course addresses any audit quality concerns seen by AMHSA and provides information on any new or changed auditing requirements (2008 sampling criteria, executive report template, and new QA review tool). The course will run from 8:30 to 16:30 and includes a written exam for recertifying auditors. NOTE: Participants are asked to bring their own calculator for this course.

Additional Course Information Now more than ever, employers must take an active role in managing claim costs in their organizations. This seminar will help municipalities establish an effective disability management program based on six key elements. The people in a municipality who will benefit most from attending this seminar are those who have a direct interest in, or responsibility for, disability management. This includes risk management personnel, administrators/managers, WCB coordinators and health and safety personnel. This seminar is offered by the WCB at NO COST to employers with active accounts with WCB-Alberta and will run from 08:30 - 16:30. To register and to obtain location information or information on courses in areas other than listed below, please call the WCB - toll free at 1-866-498-4694 or register online at www.wcb.ab.ca.
